Why do people choose RTT?

Can RTT be used with children and teens?

Yes, Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) can be used with children and teens. Generally, I do not use RTT on children under the age of 12, so I will use standard hypnosis with these children instead.

Do you have experience in dealing with trauma?

I am a fully trained Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) Therapist. Almost every client I see with RTT has experienced trauma. I am able to hold that space with my clients to allow for their great healing to occur.

How long does it take?

Each Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) session lasts 90 minutes. For that reason, I suggest blocking at least 90 minutes in your calendar to make sure you’re not rushed and have a quiet evening following the session.

What does it feel like?

The experience feels different for different people. Some people experience a sleepy feeling and others don’t. Generally, most people feel relaxed, calm and at ease. What is important is everyone may feel different but that is not an indicator of how  effective RTT is because regardless of what it feels like – it’s working!

Can I get “stuck” in hynosis?

No, this is an “old wives’ tale”. You have complete control the entire time and you can talk, move your body, get a tissue, even get up and leave (or stop to go to the toilet). If doing a Skype or Zoom session and our call got disconnected you would just simply wait for me to call you back whilst still being in  complete control of  yourself.

What if I go back to scenes that are painful, scary or traumatic?

If you go back to scenes from your life that are related to things like sexual or physical abuse, or other trauma, it’s important to remember that you are not reliving that scene, but you are simply reviewing it and you are completely safe. I will support you and create a safe space for you to express your emotions and heal that part of your life, you will be okay.

What if I don’t go deeply enough into hypnosis?

Don’t worry about how deep you go into hypnosis, forget all about that as it’s not important. The depth of the hypnotic state is not linked to results at all. Try not to think about ‘am I in hypnosis, I don’t feel any different, I must not be going under?’ Just tell yourself the truth, which is ‘this is working’ and it absolutely works whether lightly or deeply in hypnosis, it is just as effective, so take that pressure off yourself.

Hypnosis is not magic, it’s science! It works by creating a burst of brain waves that are the same as when you’re in deep REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep. This is what allows you to access the subconscious mind. It’s very easy and anyone can do it, you’ll see for yourself when you do it too.

1. Immediate: You feel a massive shift right away – immediate changes in your physiology, thoughts and behaviours in the session.
2. Incremental: You see consistent shifts every day, or over time.
3. Retroactive: You don’t see the shifts right away and then one day you suddenly look back and see all the things that are different in your life.

About Colleen

I was always looking to change my life for the better but did not know how. Did positive affirmations, read self-help books, did visualisations but always managed to self sabotage without realising I was doing it. I realised that if I wanted to change my life I had to change my thinking about myself and MINDSET was everything.
What I thought determined my actions which in turn determined my life. I came across RTT when I desperately needed help and did not know how to change my life. RTT had changed and saved my life by changing my thoughts and giving me back control over all areas of my life in real quick time. Within 6 months I made a 180 degree change to leave a marriage that had not been working for years, heal quickly, start a successful business and live a life I wanted for myself and my children.
Previously I had been to counsellors and therapists and found that the “How do you feel?” technique left me feeling worse when leaving the session. It just highlighted my helplessness to my circumstances and still no life skills to know how to move forward.
